Monochrome

I just love this image from Mo Manning.  I was asked to make a card for a girl who was about to take her black belt in Karate, and this was the perfect image, don't you think ??  Simply coloured in promarkers, with a bit of black diamond stickles glitter for her belt.  Black and white papers, white pearlised card embossed with swiss dots, and the two way card design, black ribbon to tie.  Simple but sooo sweet x

Flower Pop Up Card

This floral card brings the season of spring, which seems to be extremely hot for a change, loving it !!  Orange Core Card from Tim Holtz, which has been sanded back, some white flowers used for the main feature, which have been distressed using orange and brown inks.  Stunning rose paper from stash, and a simple sentiment from Stampin Up.  A handmade box, the perfect fit for this pop out design.  Now spring is in full bloom, let's hope summer is as nice....... x

I love the little Amy digi from Crafty Sentiments so have coloured her again for this weeks challenges.  The paper is from Bearly Mine and the sketch is part of their challenge this week., one of their lovely free downloads. Amy is coloured with Promarkers, then double layered, for a decoupage effect, simply adding a few pearls, rose, and a loving sentiment.

For my card I have used the heart embossing folder, and decoupaged the Amy image.  Coloured with Promarkers, and used rose stickles glitter on her bunchies.  The paper stock is from love letters by Mindy Terasawa.  Stampin Up sentiment, wooden heart embellishment and added a couple of buttons to finish.....

WILD ORCHID CHALLENGE 19 - DIEING TO PUNCH IT OUT

This weeks challenge from 'Wild Orchid' is 'dieing to punch it out'. For this challenge I have used another beautiful digi girl image from Sugar Nellie.  Die cut the flourish embellishments, added some lovely flowers and pins from Wild Orchid.  The sentiment is from LOTV.  I love these girlie images....

BEARLY MINE CHALLENGE 6 - MOTHERS DAY

After a lovely weekend away with my hubby in the beautiful countryside of Canterbury, I feel fully refreshed, and thought I had better up date my blog !!

This weeks challenge for Bearly Mine is 'Mothers Day' - The image (which does remind me of my mum !!) has been decoupaged and coloured with promarkers.  The floor boards has been used with crackle paint (own version, pva glue & water !!) and the cute dog has been fluffed up with fluffy stuff, in the appropriate places :)

Can't believe nearly a month has gone by since writing on here !!  This baby girl card, has the beautiful Mo Manning image, which I have decoupaged, and coloured with Promarkers.  Sentiments from LOTV, added glitter and gems.  Loving Mo's images x

Wild Orchid Challenge 16 - Love Is........

This is a beautiful card, that took a lot of time and patience lolx, using a template shown in one of the crafting magazine this was adapted for Valentine Day.  Using a heart template, gllitter glue and glossy accents, this card is designed as a pop card.  Made for my hubby, with love x

Bearly Mine Challenge 3 - For men and Boys

One thing I struggle with is men and boys cards.  But I just love the Mo Manning Baby Boy image, so just had to use it for this Challenge.  Sentiments from the new range at LOTV, and embellished with blue buttons, simple, but sweet x

Wild Orchid Challenge 15 - Let's get Sentimental

This easel card was made for my best friend Jo's Birthday.  Inside the small box, was enclosed a lottery ticket, unfortunately it wasn't a winner !!  Flowers used are coloured with silkies, glossy accent used on the backing papers, and distressed inks.   She loved her card, and has pride of place on the mantelpiece x

Bearly Mine Challenge 2 - Its a recipe

For the second of the Bearly Mine Challenge, It's a recipe, you have to use 3 flowers, 2 design papers and 1 image. For this I have used the new Simply Adorables Grace from Sugar Nellie, which I just love.  The papers are from my stash, and the flowers are from magnolia Tilda.  I have distressed the images with Tim Holtz inks. The entiment is from Stampin Up.  The images has been coloured with promarkers, I can't wait to purchase more of the girlie images.   This is card has been made with love for my mum, whose birthday is this week.  Happy Birthday mum x x

Sarah Kay Card - Sketch Challenge

After another wet and rainy day in Luton, I decided to finish my entry for the Cardmaking and Papercraft Sketch Challenge.  This is lovely Sarah Kay image, with I have coloured with Pro-markers.  Using the beautiful 'Minds Eye' Bloom & Grow Papers, and embellished with flowers.  Final touch the 'Stampin Up greeting.  

Wild Orchid Challenge 14 - A sketch by Bev

A great sketch by Bev Rochester for the Wild Orchid Challenge.  Again using the beautiful LOTV image, and the new sentiments stamp.  Papermania Capsule papers, and embellished with prima & mulberry flowers, also heart and floral pins.

Liley Of The Valley - Challenge

I just love the 'Liley Of The Valley' stamps and images, think they will be my favourite for 2011 !!  For this challenge at http://liliofthevalleythursdaychallenge.blogspot.com/, I have used Papermania Capsule Collection papers, and embellished with Prima & mulberry flowers.  Also lightly edged with destress ink, and used glitter sparkles on the image.  Already placed my order this morning for the new images at LOTV, released today 11.01.11 x

Bearly Mine Challenge

This will be the first challenge that I have entered since creating my Blog page, and also the first Challenge on Bearly Mine Blog. I had fun making this card, carefully following the sketch, and using the beautiful free Bearly Mine Paper downloads, and new Lily Of the Valley Image. here's to wishing luck to everyone who enters the very first 'Bearly Mine' Challenge.
